We are looking for a Senior Accountant to join a dynamic healthcare organization in Dallas, Texas. This Contract to permanent position offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to financial operations and support the growth of a multi-location healthcare practice. Job Responsibility

  • Manage journal entries and maintain the general ledger to ensure financial accuracy
  • Perform bank reconciliations and oversee daily treasury activities
  • Lead month-end and quarter-end close processes to deliver timely reports
  • Handle payroll-related accounting tasks and ensure compliance
  • Collaborate with the Accounting Director to identify opportunities for process improvements and automation
  • Support ad hoc financial projects and provide operational assistance as needed
  • Utilize systems such as Sage Intacct and Excel for efficient data management and reporting
  • Occasionally work weekends during quarter-end close periods to meet deadlines
  • Ensure adherence to internal controls and accounting best practices
  • Assist in analyzing healthcare revenue cycle data for financial insights

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
  • At least 5 years of accounting experience, preferably in healthcare or multi-entity environments
  • Proficiency in accounting fundamentals, including month-end close and reconciliations
  • Familiarity with Sage Intacct and advanced Excel functions such as pivot tables and VLOOKUP
  • Experience with healthcare revenue cycle management is highly preferred
  • Strong ability to multitask and adapt to evolving priorities in a fast-paced setting
  • Excellent communication skills and a collaborative approach to teamwork
  • Must have healthcare industry experience

Nice to have

Exposure to process improvement and automation tools is a plus
