Job Description:

We are partnering with a leading global manufacturing company in their search for a Senior Accountant. This is a 6 to 9 months temporary role based in Daventry offering hybrid working and an hourly rate of up to £33 per hour via PAYE for the right candidate.

Job Responsibility:

Responsible for the end-to-end accuracy of the department's financial statements
Identify unusual variances and maintain the organisation's value through strict confidentiality and robust internal controls
Prepare general ledger entries, account reconciliations, and full financial statements, including P&L and balance sheets
Perform detailed analysis of the chart of accounts and respond to inquiries from management and internal/external auditors, including Sarbanes-Oxley groups
Regularly review internal controls and recommend "best practice" accounting procedures to improve current operations

Requirements:

Qualified or Part-Qualified accountant
Proven experience with month-end/year-end closing, inventory accounting, and balance sheet reconciliations
Strong grasp of accounting fundamentals and the ability to record and report transactions accurately and timely
