Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to join our team in Jamaica Plain, Massachusetts. In this long-term contract role, you will play a pivotal part in managing financial records, ensuring accurate reporting, and supporting critical accounting functions. This position is ideal for someone with strong attention to detail and expertise in account reconciliations, journal entries, and general ledger activities.

Job Responsibility

  • Oversee and manage month-end close processes to ensure timely and accurate reporting
  • Prepare and post journal entries while maintaining proper documentation and compliance
  • Perform reconciliations for accounts and bank statements to ensure accuracy and resolve discrepancies
  • Maintain the general ledger by reviewing and updating accounts as needed
  • Collaborate with internal teams to support financial audits and ensure compliance with regulations
  • Analyze financial data to identify trends and provide actionable insights to leadership
  • Ensure adherence to accounting standards and organizational policies in all financial activities
  • Assist in preparing financial statements and reports for internal and external stakeholders
