Job Description:

We are looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to join our team in Charleston, South Carolina. In this role, you will play a critical part in maintaining financial accuracy and ensuring compliance with accounting standards. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills and a deep understanding of accounting practices.

Job Responsibility:

Oversee month-end close processes to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting
Manage and maintain general ledger accounts, ensuring all entries are properly recorded
Prepare and post journal entries to support various financial transactions
Conduct detailed account reconciliations to identify discrepancies and resolve issues
Perform bank reconciliations to ensure alignment between company records and financial institutions
Collaborate with other departments to gather relevant financial data for reporting purposes
Analyze financial statements and provide insights to support business decisions
Ensure compliance with accounting principles and regulatory requirements
Support audits by preparing necessary documentation and addressing inquiries
Continuously evaluate and improve accounting processes for efficiency

Requirements:

Proven experience in accounting, including month-end close and general ledger management
Strong knowledge of journal entries and account reconciliation processes
Proficiency in performing bank reconciliations with attention to detail
Familiarity with accounting standards and regulatory requirements
Advanced proficiency in accounting software and tools
Exceptional analytical skills and problem-solving abilities
Excellent communication skills for collaborating across teams
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
