Job Description:

Our client is a large, high-growth retail organization with multi-location operations, seeking a Senior Accountant to join their team in Carson, CA. This is a full-time, direct hire opportunity offering strong compensation, visibility, and long-term growth potential within a stable and expanding company.

Job Responsibility:

Lead and actively participate in the month-end and year-end close process
Prepare and post journal entries, accruals, and adjustments
Perform balance sheet and bank reconciliations
Analyze general ledger activity and investigate variances
Prepare financial reports and supporting schedules
Assist with audit preparation and respond to auditor requests
Support internal controls and ensure GAAP compliance
Collaborate cross-functionally with operations and leadership to ensure accurate financial reporting

Requirements:

5+ years of progressive accounting experience
Strong experience with month-end close and general ledger accounting
Solid understanding of GAAP
Experience with ERP systems and strong Excel skills
Ability to analyze financial data and resolve discrepancies
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required
