Job Description

Emerging client within the Manufacturing Industry is in need of a Senior Accountant with strong general ledger and inventory expertise. As the Senior Accountant, you will oversee the general ledger system, assist with preparing accruals, support inventory cycles, prepare annual tax filings, complete bank reconciliations, draft financial reports, coordinate the month end/year end close prepare data for monthly journal entries, assist with monthly balance sheet reconciliation, perform account reconciliations, assist with the annual audit process, maintain financial records, and perform financial analysis as needed. The successful candidate for this role will have sharp analytical skills, excellent time management abilities, and strong written and verbal communication skills.

Job Responsibility

  • Manage and maintain general ledger accounts
  • Prepare and post journal entries, accruals, and adjustments
  • Perform detailed balance sheet reconciliations
  • Support inventory accounting activities
  • Partner with operations and supply chain teams
  • Assist with financial reporting, variance analysis, and preparation of supporting schedules
  • Maintain and improve accounting procedures and internal controls
  • Support internal and external audits
  • Utilize ERP systems and advanced Excel functions

Requirements

  • Bachelors degree in Finance or Accounting
  • 4+ years of progressive accounting experience
  • Strong Excel skills
  • Advanced proficiency MS Excel and larger ERP experience
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
