Job Description:

Senior Accountant role in Bangalore, Karnataka, focusing on financial control, month close, revenue recognition (IFRS 15/SaaS), audit, compliance, governance, reporting, analysis, and collaboration with global teams.

Job Responsibility:

  • Execute and oversee month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities for multiple global entities
  • Prepare and review journals, reconciliations, accruals, and prepayments, ensuring accuracy and completeness
  • Support global consolidation of the Group’s results, including intercompany reconciliations and elimination entries
  • Ensure integrity of P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow statements across all entities
  • Maintain strong financial controls aligned with IFRS and SOX-style governance frameworks
  • Manage accounting for SaaS revenue recognition, ensuring compliance with IFRS 15
  • Perform complete reconciliations between ARR, CRM (sales data), billing systems, deferred and accrued revenue
  • Partner with Revenue Operations and Group Finance to ensure accuracy and transparency of revenue reporting
  • Support the global statutory and group audit processes, preparing schedules and responding to audit queries
  • Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards, local regulations, and tax requirements
  • Assist in the design, documentation, and testing of internal controls under the Group’s financial control framework
  • Contribute to the preparation of consolidated management reports, variance analyses, and commentary
  • Assist in monitoring working capital, intercompany balances, and cashflow
  • Provide analytical insights to the Financial Controller and CFO to support key business decisions
  • Operate within ERP and CRM systems (e.g. SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, Salesforce)
  • Participate in automation, system enhancement, and process standardisation initiatives
  • Collaborate across time zones with global teams in Finance, Tax, HR, and Legal
  • Support and mentor junior team members within the India-based finance function

Requirements:

  • 10 years of experience
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting / MBA / MCom
  • Excellent English Communication
  • Excellent knowledge of accounting principles and standards
  • SAP Knowledge
  • Team player with positive attitude
  • Hands on knowledge of Ms. Office tools
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
