The Senior Accountant is responsible for maintaining the integrity and accuracy of the company’s financial records, with a strong focus on managing the Profit & Loss (P&L) statement, Balance Sheet, and month‑end close activities. This role provides critical financial analysis, supports leadership with forecasting and budgeting, and ensures compliance with accounting principles and internal controls.
Job Responsibility:
Oversee preparation, review, and analysis of the P&L statement and Balance Sheet on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis
Perform detailed variance analysis and provide meaningful insights to management
Lead month‑end and year‑end close processes, including journal entries, accruals, reconciliations, and adjustments
Ensure proper classification and accuracy of revenue, expenses, and balance sheet accounts
Assist with preparation of financial statements in accordance with GAAP
Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts, ensuring accuracy and completeness
Conduct periodic audits of internal processes to strengthen accounting controls
Investigate discrepancies and recommend corrective actions
Support annual budgeting and ongoing financial forecasting processes
Partner with department leaders to track spending and identify financial trends
Provide insights into operational performance and recommend improvements
Ensure compliance with GAAP, corporate policies, and regulatory requirements
Support external audits by preparing documentation and responding to auditor inquiries
Identify opportunities to streamline accounting processes and implement best practices
Work closely with operations, finance, and leadership teams to provide financial support
Communicate financial results and insights in a clear and actionable manner
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
CPA or CMA preferred
4–7+ years of progressive accounting experience
Strong experience managing P&L and Balance Sheet oversight
Solid understanding of GAAP and financial statement preparation
