Job Description:

We are looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to join our team in San Antonio, Texas. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting processes and financial reporting, with a commitment to accuracy and attention to detail. This role is essential in ensuring the integrity of financial records and supporting the organization’s overall financial health.

Job Responsibility:

Manage the month-end close process, ensuring timely and accurate completion of all accounting tasks
Oversee general ledger activities, including the preparation and review of entries to maintain accurate financial records
Prepare and post journal entries in compliance with accounting standards and company policies
Conduct thorough account reconciliations to identify and resolve discrepancies
Perform bank reconciliations to ensure alignment between bank statements and company records
Analyze financial data and reports to support decision-making and provide insights
Collaborate with internal teams to ensure compliance with accounting procedures and regulations
Identify opportunities for process improvements within accounting operations
Assist in audits by preparing necessary documentation and providing support to auditors

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in accounting
Proven experience in month-end close processes and general ledger management
Proficiency in preparing and posting journal entries with high accuracy
Expertise in account reconciliation and identifying discrepancies
Knowledge of bank reconciliation procedures and financial statement alignment
Strong understanding of accounting principles and standards
Advanced proficiency in accounting software and tools
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Strong organizational and communication abilities to collaborate effectively across teams
