Robert Half is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our Loan Staff Practice. As a full-time employee of Robert Half, you’ll work as a consultant providing high-level accounting support to a dedicated client base. This role offers the stability of full-time employment with the variety of consulting assignments. You’ll support clients with advanced accounting responsibilities, assist with financial reporting and close processes, and help strengthen accounting operations across multiple industries.
Job Responsibility:
Lead the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting
Prepare and review complex journal entries, including accruals, deferrals, and reclassifications
Perform and review balance sheet and bank reconciliations and resolve discrepancies
Maintain and analyze general ledger activity to ensure accuracy and compliance with GAAP
Prepare financial statements and supporting schedules for management review
Analyze financial results and variances, providing insights and recommendations
Support internal and external audit requests, including preparation of audit schedules and documentation
Assist with implementing and improving accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls
Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate financial data and reporting
Support special projects, system implementations, and process improvement initiatives
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
4–7+ years of progressive accounting experience (public or private)
Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting principles
Experience with month-end close and balance sheet reconciliations
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (PivotTables, XLOOKUP, data analysis)
Experience with ERP or accounting systems (NetSuite, SAP, Oracle, Dynamics, QuickBooks, etc.)
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
Nice to have:
CPA or CPA eligibility
Public accounting experience
Experience working with multiple clients or industries
Knowledge of SOX compliance and internal controls
Experience with financial analysis or process improvement initiatives
