Robert Half is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Accountant for an onsite opportunity in Honolulu, Hawaii. This role is ideal for an accounting professional with a strong background in financial reporting, reconciliations, budgeting support, and internal controls. The Senior Accountant will play a key role in maintaining accurate financial records, supporting day-to-day accounting operations, and helping ensure compliance with accounting policies and procedures.

Job Responsibility:

Manage and perform account reconciliations across multiple balance sheet and income statement accounts
Support month-end and year-end close processes
Prepare accurate financial reports and assist with reporting deliverables
Analyze budget-to-actual results and identify significant variances
Monitor fixed assets activity, including additions, disposals, depreciation, and reconciliations
Evaluate accounting processes and internal controls to identify gaps or areas for improvement
Support AP and AR workflows to ensure timely and accurate processing
Review employee expense reports for accuracy, policy compliance, and proper documentation
Assist with audit preparation and provide documentation as requested
Help train, mentor, and oversee junior accounting staff
Collaborate with leadership and cross-functional teams on accounting-related projects and process improvements

Requirements:

Minimum of 5+ years of accounting experience
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required
CPA preferred
Strong communication, technology, organizational, and analytical skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
Proven ability to work independently and as part of a team
Experience with financial statement preparation, reconciliations, and internal controls
