Job Responsibility:
Lead and participate in the month-end close process and support the annual financial statement audit, including preparation of audit schedules
Prepare and review monthly general ledger reconciliations and financial statements for assigned budget centers
Manage post-award grants (as applicable), ensuring expenses are recorded in compliance with donor and funding agency requirements
Serve as a financial liaison to program officers and directors, addressing questions and providing guidance on financial reporting
Maintain organized, timely, and accessible financial documentation while analyzing performance against budgets and close-out requirements
Identify and implement process improvements and support the development of organization-wide accounting policies, procedures, and special projects
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or related field
1+ years of experience, with a nonprofit background
CPA preferred
Experience with government contracts a plus
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
