Job Description:

We are seeking a seasoned Senior Accountant for a contract assignment to support a local client. This role is ideal for a results-driven professional who excels in fast-paced environments, brings deep accounting expertise, and can deliver immediate impact during periods of growth or transition.

Job Responsibility:

Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual closings, including reconciliations and journal entries
Prepare and analyze financial statements, reports, and supporting schedules
Ensure compliance with GAAP, internal controls, and company policies
Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis projects
Support audits and respond to auditor requests
Collaborate with cross-department teams to resolve accounting issues
Identify process improvement opportunities and implement best practices

Requirements:

Minimum 3 years experience in accounting
prior contract or temporary roles preferred
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
Advanced proficiency with accounting software (e.g., Microsoft D365, Oracle NetSuite, QuickBooks, SAP, Workday)
Strong understanding of GAAP and corporate accounting principles
High attention to detail, excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Outstanding organizational and communication abilities
Ability to manage sensitive information discreetly and independently
