A Senior Accountant is responsible for overseeing the organization’s accounting operations, ensuring the accuracy of financial information, and supporting management with detailed financial analysis and reporting.
Job Responsibility:
Prepare, review, and analyze financial statements for accuracy and completeness
Oversee the general ledger and ensure all transactions are properly recorded
Manage month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes
Reconcile accounts and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner
Support budgeting, forecasting, and audit processes
Maintain compliance with internal policies and external regulations or accounting standards
Supervise and mentor junior accounting staff
Collaborate with other departments to support financial planning and analysis initiatives
Identify process improvement opportunities within accounting functions
Assist with the preparation of tax filings and external audits
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
Several years of relevant accounting experience
CPA certification often preferred
Comprehensive knowledge of accounting principles (GAAP or IFRS)
Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel
