Job Description

Robert Half is working with a client in need of a senior accountant. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in managing the company’s accounting processes, preparing financial reports, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations.

Job Responsibility

  • Prepare and review financial statements in accordance with GAAP
  • Manage month-end and year-end close processes
  • Analyze financial trends and provide insight to management for decision-making
  • Reconcile accounts, ensuring accuracy and compliance with internal policies
  • Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll functions
  • Collaborate with external auditors and tax professionals for annual audits and compliance reporting
  • Develop and implement internal controls to optimize processes and reduce risks
  • Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities
  • Supervise and mentor junior accounting staff to enhance team performance
  • Stay updated on regulatory changes and maintain adherence to financial laws and standards.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • CPA or equivalent certification preferred
  • Minimum 5-7 years of accounting experience, ideally in a senior role
  • Comprehensive knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards
  • Advanced proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and Excel
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
  • Experience managing and mentoring teams is highly desirable
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines
  • Familiarity with budgeting, forecasting, and compliance reporting
  • Industry experience in construction, healthcare, financial services, or real estate is a plus.
