Job Description:

Robert Half is working with a client in need of a senior accountant. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in managing the company’s accounting processes, preparing financial reports, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations.

Job Responsibility:

Prepare and review financial statements in accordance with GAAP
Manage month-end and year-end close processes
Analyze financial trends and provide insight to management for decision-making
Reconcile accounts, ensuring accuracy and compliance with internal policies
Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll functions
Collaborate with external auditors and tax professionals for annual audits and compliance reporting
Develop and implement internal controls to optimize processes and reduce risks
Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities
Supervise and mentor junior accounting staff to enhance team performance
Stay updated on regulatory changes and maintain adherence to financial laws and standards.

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
CPA or equivalent certification preferred
Minimum 5-7 years of accounting experience, ideally in a senior role
Comprehensive knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards
Advanced proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and Excel
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
Experience managing and mentoring teams is highly desirable
Ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines
Familiarity with budgeting, forecasting, and compliance reporting
Industry experience in construction, healthcare, financial services, or real estate is a plus.
