We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Senior Accountant to join our team on a long-term contract basis in Addison, Texas. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a dynamic environment, excels in analytical tasks, and can work independently to support critical accounting processes. You will play a vital role in ensuring accuracy and efficiency in financial reporting while collaborating closely with leadership to enhance operational effectiveness.
Job Responsibility:
Manage month-end close processes by independently handling key tasks and ensuring timely completion
Conduct comprehensive variance analysis to identify trends, anomalies, and significant fluctuations in financial data
Prepare and review journal entries and perform account reconciliations to maintain accurate records
Analyze financial results to flag potential risks, issues, or irregularities proactively
Utilize advanced Excel functions, such as pivot tables and VLOOKUPs, to analyze and interpret complex financial data
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather information required for accurate financial reporting
Organize and compile financial data from multiple sources, even when information is incomplete
Provide insights and recommendations to improve accounting processes and support decision-making
Operate autonomously while maintaining precision and accountability in all tasks
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience, ideally at a Senior Accountant level
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data beyond basic reporting
Advanced proficiency in Excel, including pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, and data reconciliation
Proven ability to work independently and take ownership of responsibilities
Comfortable with improving processes and adapting to new systems
Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills
Ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders
