Job Description:

In this critical finance position, you will support the Accounting and Reporting Lead in delivering comprehensive statutory and management reporting, financial analysis-compliance obligations and continuous improvement initiatives across TasTAFE. You will play a vital role in ensuring that accurate, timely and insightful financial information is provided to support governance high-level decision making and organisational performance.

Job Responsibility:

Statutory Compliance: Coordinating the preparation of TasTAFE’s Annual Audited Financial Statements and managing financial returns for Treasury and the Department of State Growth
Taxation Management: Preparing and coordinating complex taxation obligations, including FBT and GST lodgements and other relevant returns
Performance Insights: Developing management reporting, forecasts, commentary and performance insights for the Board, Executive and Senior Leadership Group
Financial Stewardship: Contributing to budget development, business planning, performance monitoring and the maintenance of the Financial Management System
Continuous Improvement: Advancing the TasTAFE business model to enhance the management of financial and technological resources

Requirements:

Professional Credentials: Membership of CPA Australia, CA ANZ, or equivalent is essential
Education: Tertiary qualifications in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related discipline
Compliance: Current Registration to Work with Vulnerable People in Tasmania (or ability to obtain)
Desirable: A current Tasmanian Driver’s License
