We are looking for a skilled Senior Accountant to join our team in Burlington, Massachusetts. In this long-term contract role, you will play a key part in managing financial operations for a company specializing in retail commercial properties. This position offers the opportunity to work with advanced financial tools and contribute to maintaining accurate accounting records and processes.

Job Responsibility:

Perform month-end close activities, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting
Manage general ledger accounts, maintaining consistency and compliance with accounting standards
Prepare and post journal entries to document financial transactions
Conduct detailed account reconciliations to verify accuracy and resolve discrepancies
Handle bank reconciliations and ensure proper documentation of financial activities
Extract and analyze lease data for retail commercial properties
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support financial operations and reporting
Utilize advanced Microsoft Excel tools to streamline accounting processes
Maintain clear and precise communication for effective collaboration and reporting
Provide support during audits and ensure compliance with financial regulations

Requirements:

Proven experience in month-end close procedures and financial reporting
Strong knowledge of general ledger management and accounting principles
Proficiency in preparing journal entries and reconciling accounts
Skilled in bank reconciliation processes with attention to detail
Familiarity with lease extraction and analysis in the real estate sector
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including complex formulas and data analysis
Excellent written and verbal communication skills for detail-oriented interactions
Ability to work independently and manage priorities effectively in a flexible environment
