We are looking for a highly skilled Senior Accountant to join our team on a long-term contract basis. This role involves overseeing key accounting activities, ensuring accuracy in financial records, and supporting operational transitions. Based in Miami, Florida, this position offers an excellent opportunity for professionals with a strong background in accounting and a commitment to excellence.

Job Responsibility:

Perform month-end close activities, ensuring all financial records are accurate and up-to-date
Prepare and post journal entries to maintain the integrity of the general ledger
Reconcile accounts and bank statements to resolve discrepancies and ensure accurate reporting
Manage the general ledger, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and company policies
Assist with the transition of accounting functions to the corporate office while maintaining day-to-day operations
Support financial audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations
Collaborate with the team to identify and implement process improvements
Maintain detailed records of financial transactions to support transparency and accountability
Provide input on automation and transformation initiatives related to accounting processes
Apply relevant expertise in real estate accounting, if applicable

Requirements:

Proven experience in month-end close procedures, general ledger management, and journal entries
Strong proficiency in account and bank reconciliations
Solid understanding of accounting principles and practices
Experience with EnterpriseOne (E1) software is highly desirable
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask
Effective communication skills and ability to collaborate within a team environment

Nice to have:

Background in real estate accounting is a plus
