We are looking for a highly skilled Senior Accountant to join our team in Seattle, Washington. This long-term contract position is an excellent opportunity for an individual with a strong background in accounting and financial management and keen attention to detail. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in month-end processes, reconciliation tasks, and team training.
Job Responsibility:
Oversee and execute month-end close processes to ensure timely and accurate reporting
Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts to uphold financial integrity
Prepare and post journal entries, ensuring compliance with accounting standards
Conduct thorough account and bank reconciliations to identify and resolve discrepancies
Utilize Avalara to manage tax-related functions efficiently
Train and support staff members to enhance their accounting knowledge and operational skills
Work with Intacct and FloQast to streamline accounting processes and reporting
Review financial data and reports for accuracy and completeness
Collaborate with other departments to provide financial insights and support
Identify opportunities for process improvements within accounting functions
Requirements:
Minimum of 7 years of experience in accounting or related financial roles
Proficiency in month-end close processes and general ledger maintenance
Strong knowledge of journal entries and account reconciliation
Experience with bank reconciliations and resolving discrepancies
Familiarity with accounting tools such as Intacct, FloQast, and Avalara
Ability to train and mentor staff effectively
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Strong communication skills to collaborate across teams and departments
