Job Description:

Lana Funkhouser with Robert Half is partnering with a dynamic and expanding company to hire a Senior Accountant. This is a hybrid role. The role involves close activities, reporting, collaboration with the team, and financial analysis, with opportunities to participate in implementations and cross-functional projects. The accountant is expected to have strong accounting knowledge and industry-related experience.

Job Responsibility:

Execute and oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes including journal entries, vendor invoice review, job costing, payroll, reconciliations, and financial statement analysis
Prepare balance sheet, income statement, and cash flow reports for internal management and external auditors
Integrate acquisitions into the month-end close process as needed
Coordinate local, state, and federal tax filings with third-party vendors
Serve as a key member of the finance team during annual audits
Build relationships across finance, operations, and executive teams
Participate in cross-functional financial and operational projects
Support ERP and financial systems implementations, including credit card and accounts payable systems
Analyze variances between actuals, budget, and prior year results
Provide insights on business trends and performance indicators
Offer recommendations to improve financial outcomes and influence decisions

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (required)
Minimum of four years of accounting experience, ideally a mix of public and corporate accounting
CPA certification preferred
Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting
Experience in construction, restoration, or service-based industries is a plus
Multi-location or multi-brand experience
Advanced Excel skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office
Experience with QuickBooks and/or Sage Intacct preferred
Proven ability to work independently and remotely, with occasional travel
