Job Description:

We are looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to join our team in New Orleans, Louisiana. In this Contract to permanent position, you will play a key role in managing financial operations to ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting standards. This opportunity is ideal for professionals with strong expertise in full-cycle accounting and reconciliation processes.

Job Responsibility:

Prepare and post journal entries to maintain accurate financial records
Oversee month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring timely completion of all tasks
Conduct account reconciliations, including bank reconciliations, to verify financial accuracy
Assist with full-cycle accounting operations, including accounts payable and receivable
Analyze and resolve discrepancies in financial data to maintain integrity
Collaborate with internal teams to improve accounting processes and ensure compliance
Generate detailed financial reports and provide insights to support decision-making
Monitor the general ledger to ensure proper classification and accuracy of transactions
Stay updated on accounting regulations and standards to maintain compliance

Requirements:

Proven experience in month-end and year-end closing processes
Proficiency in preparing journal entries and managing general ledger accounts
Strong knowledge of account reconciliation and bank reconciliation procedures
Familiarity with full-cycle accounting, including accounts payable and receivable
Advanced analytical skills to identify and resolve financial discrepancies
Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with internal teams
Detail-oriented mindset with strong organizational skills
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred
