Job Description:

We are looking for an experienced Senior Accountant with a strong background in construction accounting to join our team. This role involves overseeing financial aspects of construction projects, ensuring precise budgeting, managing supplier contracts, and maintaining accurate accounting records. The ideal candidate will possess sharp analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to streamline costs effectively.

Job Responsibility:

Develop and manage detailed budgets for construction projects in collaboration with project managers
Handle accounting tasks such as preparing invoices, estimating cash flow, and approving purchase orders
Monitor and analyze financial transactions, incorporating unforeseen costs into project budgets
Maintain comprehensive records of project finances for audits and tax purposes
Ensure timely and accurate payments to contractors and suppliers
Conduct cost analyses by interpreting financial data and project information
Identify and report financial risks and budget discrepancies to management
Build and sustain strong relationships with vendors and suppliers
Utilize QuickBooks to manage financial processes efficiently
Perform bank and account reconciliations to ensure accuracy in financial reporting

Requirements:

Minimum of five years’ experience in accounting, finance, or a related field
In-depth knowledge of construction cost accounting and financial procedures
Proficiency in accounting software, particularly QuickBooks
experience with Odoo is a plus
Familiarity with the construction industry's financial operations
Strong analytical and mathematical abilities
Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in financial tasks
Effective communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to multitask and perform well in a fast-paced work environment
