Job Description:

The Finance & Control department in Circle K Business Centre in Riga, Latvia is a part of the Global Finance organization and is responsible for the full accounting and financial reporting cycle for Circle K European operations. The role involves participation in audit processes, financial statement preparation according to IFRS, account reconciliation, reporting deliverables, and improvement projects.

Job Responsibility:

Participation, support and close involvement in audit process
Direct communication with audit teams both in Riga and Dublin
Prepare financial statements according to International Financial Reporting Standards (“IFRS”) for several Irish companies within agreed timelines
Process and maintain financial records in compliance with the Group’s policies and procedures and legal requirements
Process accounting documents according to department’s approved procedure
Perform account reconciliation and analysis, resolve discrepancies and errors
Take part in periodic close processes according to schedules and to Department’s approved procedure
Contribute to various Reporting deliverables for Business unit
Execute and document process Key Controls for internal compliance monitoring
Investigate information that is being submitted by other departments and understand the internal processes of the other departments
Assist other departments with their respective questions and ad hoc requests
Assist the Business Unit on ad hoc requests
Participate in challenging improvement projects in accounting/ reporting area.

Requirements:

University degree in Finance, Economics, or Accounting
Solid experience (5+ years) in accounting or audit field, preferably within an international work environment
Experience of creating financial statements according to IFRS
Goal-oriented, proactive, with a high level of responsibility
Ability to work in a changing environment
Good computer skills and general accounting system background (SAP, Oracle JDE and Longview is an advantage)
Improvement driven and a good team player
Fluent English language skills (oral and writing) to communicate with business units and colleagues in Europe
ACCA certificate or started ACCA studies is considered as an asset.
