Job Description:

We are looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to join our team in Dallas, Texas on a contract-to-hire basis. In this Contract to permanent role, you will play a key part in managing financial operations, ensuring accuracy in reporting, and maintaining compliance with accounting standards. This position offers an excellent opportunity to contribute your expertise to a dynamic organization within the real estate and property industry.

Job Responsibility:

Oversee the month-end close process, ensuring timely and accurate completion of financial statements
Maintain and manage the general ledger, ensuring consistency and accuracy in account balances
Prepare and post journal entries, verifying proper documentation and compliance with accounting standards
Conduct account reconciliations to identify discrepancies and ensure accurate financial reporting
Perform bank reconciliations to validate transactions and resolve any variances promptly
Utilize advanced Microsoft Excel functions to analyze and present financial data effectively
Handle foreign currency translations and intercompany eliminations to support global operations
Manage intercompany accounts and transactions, ensuring proper documentation and reconciliation
Collaborate with teams to streamline accounting processes and enhance operational efficiency
Leverage PeopleSoft tools to manage financial data and reporting workflows effectively

Requirements:

Proven experience in month-end close processes and financial reporting
Strong knowledge of general ledger management and journal entry preparation
Expertise in account and bank reconciliation procedures
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting
Familiarity with PeopleSoft or similar financial systems
Understanding of foreign currency translation and intercompany eliminations
Experience managing intercompany accounts and transactions
Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently
