We are looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to join our team in St. Gabriel, Louisiana. In this long-term contract position, you will play a vital role in managing financial operations, ensuring accuracy in accounting processes, and supporting month-end close activities. This opportunity is ideal for someone with a strong background in accounting and a detail-oriented mindset.

Job Responsibility:

Manage month-end close processes to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting
Prepare and post journal entries while maintaining proper documentation and compliance
Oversee general ledger activities, ensuring accuracy and proper reconciliations
Perform account reconciliations to verify financial data and resolve discrepancies
Conduct bank reconciliations and address any variances promptly
Assist with audits by preparing necessary financial documentation and reports
Collaborate with internal teams to streamline accounting processes and improve efficiency
Analyze financial data to identify trends and recommend improvements
Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements
Provide support for special projects and ad-hoc financial reporting tasks as needed

Requirements:

Proven experience in accounting, specifically with month-end close processes
Strong knowledge of general ledger functions and journal entry preparation
Expertise in performing account and bank reconciliations
Familiarity with accounting standards and regulatory compliance
