Job Description:

You’ll own key areas of the close, support loan accounting and servicing reconciliations, and help sharpen internal controls as the company scales. Ideal for someone who enjoys complex reconciliations, multi-entity accounting, and partnering with FP&A and servicing teams.

Job Responsibility:

Lead monthly close for assigned entities: JEs, accruals, allocations, consolidations, and balance sheet reconciliations
Manage loan-level accounting (purchase, sales, servicing, premium/discount amortization)
Reconcile warehouse lines, custodial accounts, and servicing remittances
support cash management
Prepare GAAP financials, flux/variance analysis, and supporting schedules
Partner with secondary marketing/treasury on hedging impacts and gain-on-sale entries
Maintain and document internal controls
assist with external audit and lender reporting
Support process improvements, close calendar optimization, and policy documentation
Collaborate with FP&A on budget-to-actuals and KPI reporting

Requirements:

Bachelor’s in Accounting/Finance
CPA or CPA-track preferred
4–7+ years progressive GL experience
mortgage/financial services required
Strong knowledge of GAAP
exposure to CECL, MSR, or loan servicing a plus
Systems: Encompass, BlackLine, NetSuite/SAP/Oracle, advanced Excel (pivots, lookups)
