Job Description:

A well-established and growing independent accountancy practice in Barnsley is seeking a Senior Accountant to join its expanding team. This opportunity is ideal for an ACA or ACCA qualified accountant with around 1 year post-qualified experience (PQE) who is looking to take ownership of client relationships while broadening their technical exposure.

Job Responsibility:

Managing a varied portfolio of owner-managed businesses and SMEs
Preparing and reviewing statutory accounts under FRS 102 and FRS 105
Overseeing corporation tax computations and returns
Providing advisory support to clients on financial and commercial matters
Acting as the main point of contact for client queries
Identifying opportunities for new fees and cross-selling services
Supporting junior team members with technical development

Requirements:

ACA or ACCA qualified status
Around 1 year PQE within accountancy practice
Experience managing a client portfolio
Strong knowledge of accounts preparation and corporation tax
Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
A proactive mindset with an interest in developing new business
