This role supports the month‑end close process, financial reporting, and general ledger maintenance for a service‑oriented organization. The ideal candidate is detail‑oriented, analytical, and eager to grow in a fast‑paced environment.
Job Responsibility:
Prepare and post journal entries with accuracy and completeness
Reconcile general ledger accounts and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner
Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements
Maintain month‑end close checklists, calendars, and supporting documentation
Ensure compliance with internal controls, GAAP, and company accounting policies
Prepare accruals, prepaid schedules, and other close‑related reconciliations
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports
Analyze financial data and prepare variance explanations
Collaborate with internal departments to gather and review financial information
Assist with audit preparation, including schedules and responses to auditor inquiries
Identify opportunities to improve processes and implement best practices
Support special projects and system implementations as needed
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field required
CPA or progress toward CPA preferred
1–3 years of general ledger accounting experience with month‑end close responsibilities, ideally in a service‑based environment
Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting requirements
Proficiency with Microsoft Office
