Job Description:

We are looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to join our team in St. Louis, Missouri. This long-term contract position is ideal for candidates with a strong attention to detail and a solid background in accounting processes and financial management. You will play a key role in ensuring accurate financial records and contributing to the overall success of our operations.

Job Responsibility:

Manage month-end close processes, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting
Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts, ensuring all entries are properly recorded
Prepare and post journal entries to support accurate financial data
Perform account reconciliations to verify the accuracy of financial statements
Conduct bank reconciliations to ensure alignment between records and actual balances
Analyze operating data to identify discrepancies and recommend corrective actions
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support financial audits and compliance
Provide insights and recommendations for improving accounting processes and efficiency
Assist in preparing reports for management and stakeholders
Ensure adherence to company policies and accounting standards

Requirements:

Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounting or related roles
Proficiency in month-end close processes and general ledger maintenance
Strong knowledge of journal entries and account reconciliation
Experience with bank reconciliations and financial data analysis
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Familiarity with accounting software and tools
Strong communication and collaboration skills for working with diverse teams
