We are looking to add a Senior Accountant to the Honolulu Team of Full-Time Engagement Professionals. In this role, you will focus on ensuring the accuracy of financial records, reconciling accounts, and improving reporting processes. Job Responsibility:
Conduct detailed analysis of financial records to identify discrepancies and ensure accuracy
Perform account reconciliations, including general ledger and bank accounts
Manage month-end close processes with precision and timeliness
Prepare and review journal entries while ensuring compliance with accounting standards
Utilize Abila MIP software to streamline and enhance financial reporting
Apply forensic accounting techniques to uncover and resolve reporting issues
Ensure data integrity across all financial systems and records
Recommend and implement process improvements for more efficient accounting practices
Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure alignment on financial goals and reporting accuracy
Requirements:
At least 10 years of accounting experience, preferably in nonprofit organizations
Proficiency in month-end close, general ledger management, and journal entries
Strong skills in account and bank reconciliations
Expertise in using Abila MIP software for financial operations
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel, including formulas and data analysis
Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting
Proven ability to handle complex accounting projects and system cleanups
Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
