Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Senior Accountant for a contract/temporary assignment expected to last approximately 4 months. This opportunity may be extended based on business needs and performance and could also lead to conversion to a permanent role.

Job Responsibility:

Prepare and review journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliations
Lead or support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities
Maintain and analyze general ledger accounts to ensure accuracy and completeness
Prepare financial statements, supporting schedules, and management reports
Research and resolve accounting discrepancies, variances, and reporting issues
Assist with audit preparation and provide supporting documentation for internal and external auditors
Support compliance with internal controls, company policies, and accounting standards
Analyze financial data and provide insight into trends, risks, and areas for improvement
Partner cross-functionally with finance, operations, and other business teams
Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and reporting efficiency
Utilize accounting systems and Excel to manage data, reporting, and reconciliations effectively

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required
5+ years of progressive accounting experience required
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including pivot tables, XLOOKUP/VLOOKUP, Index/Match, and complex formulas
Experience using ERP systems and other accounting technologies
Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively across teams

Nice to have:

CPA or CPA-track strongly preferred
Public accounting experience is a plus
Experience with ERP platforms such as SAP, Oracle NetSuite, Microsoft D365, or Workday
Experience with Power BI, SQL, or other reporting and analytics tools
