Job Description:

We are looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to join our team in Chattanooga, Tennessee. This is a Contract to permanent position, providing accounting and reporting support to a busy and growing team. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Sage software, advanced reporting capabilities, and proficiency in Excel.

Job Responsibility:

Prepare and analyze financial statements to ensure accuracy and compliance with regulations
Manage general ledger activities, including reconciliations and journal entries
Utilize Sage software to perform financial reporting and data analysis
Develop and maintain detailed reports using advanced Excel functions
Assist in budgeting and forecasting processes to support organizational goals
Ensure timely and accurate processing of financial transactions
Collaborate with internal teams to support audits and ensure compliance
Identify and implement improvements to accounting processes and systems
Provide guidance and mentorship to entry level accounting staff
Research and resolve any discrepancies in financial records

Requirements:

Minimum of 3 years of accounting experience, preferably in a senior or supervisory role
Proficiency in Sage software for financial reporting and analysis
Previous experience in a multi-entity and multi-location environment
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel, including formulas and data manipulation
Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial regulations
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to work onsite, Monday through Friday
Effective communication and interpersonal skills for collaboration
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
