Job Description

My client is seeking a Senior Accountant to join a growing team in Long Island City, NY. This role will be responsible for preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP, maintaining the general ledger, performing balance sheet reconciliations, and supporting the month-end close. The Senior Accountant will analyze financial results, assist with variance analysis and forecasting, manage fixed assets, and ensure accuracy of financial records. Responsibilities also include supporting external audits, ensuring compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements, and assisting with tax filings. The role will collaborate cross-functionally, help improve processes, and support accounting systems such as NetSuite. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, 3+ years of experience in public accounting and/or private industry, strong GAAP knowledge (ASC 606 and ASC 842), and solid analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
