Job Description:

The Senior Accountant plays a critical role in supporting the integrity of our financial operations. This position is responsible for key month-end and year-end close activities, financial analysis, and reporting, while also helping modernize and improve accounting processes within a strong internal controls environment.

Job Responsibility:

  • Prepare and post journal entries
  • Complete account reconciliations
  • research and resolve variances
  • Produce high‑quality financial analyses and management commentary
  • Prepare and distribute recurring deliverables and reporting packages
  • Provide supporting documentation during external audits
  • Identify, recommend, and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and internal controls
  • Document Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for key accounting activities, including journal entries and reconciliations
  • Perform GAAP research and prepare technical accounting memos
  • Leverage available tools and technologies to improve accounting processes
  • Serve as the Accounting Lead for a designated legal entity, partnering closely with internal stakeholders
  • Present financial results and key drivers to business leaders and executives
  • Provide guidance, leadership, and training to Staff Accountants
  • Lead and support various accounting and shared-service transformation projects

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of relevant accounting experience
  • Minimum 2+ years of public accounting strongly preferred
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting
  • Strong understanding of financial accounting and general ledger processes
  • Solid grasp of accounting principles and GAAP
  • Demonstrated history of implementing process improvements
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret and act on complex data
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage priorities effectively

Nice to have:

  • Experience with SAP
  • Audit experience (public or internal)
  • Experience using Tableau or other BI tools
  • Exposure to or interest in AI-driven accounting tools
