We are looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to join a reputable construction company. In this long-term contract role, you will play a key part in managing the company's financial operations, ensuring accuracy and compliance in all aspects of accounting. Job Responsibility:
Oversee daily accounting operations, including monitoring and maintaining financial records
Handle month-end close processes to ensure timely and accurate reporting
Prepare and post journal entries to the general ledger
Conduct account reconciliations to verify accuracy and resolve discrepancies
Perform bank reconciliations and ensure proper documentation
Compile and analyze financial statements and reports to support business decision-making
Collaborate with internal teams to ensure compliance with accounting standards and company policies
Utilize QuickBooks to manage financial data and streamline accounting processes
Evaluate financial performance and provide insights through detailed analysis
Support audits and regulatory requirements by providing necessary documentation and information
Requirements:
Minimum of 7 years of accounting experience, preferably in the construction industry
Proficiency in QuickBooks and familiarity with accounting software
Strong knowledge of month-end close, general ledger, and journal entry processes
Expertise in account and bank reconciliations
Proven ability to prepare and analyze financial reports
Thorough understanding of accounting principles and regulations
Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills
Effective communication and collaboration abilities
