Job Description:

We are looking for a detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our team on a contract basis in Saint Louis, Missouri. In this role, you will manage key accounting functions, oversee financial processes, and support property and facility managers with critical reporting and record-keeping tasks. This position provides an excellent opportunity to leverage your expertise in financial analysis and leadership while working in a collaborative environment.

Job Responsibility:

Manage invoice preparation and ensure accurate entry, coding, and submission within the accounting system
Maintain and oversee financial transaction records, including verifying and posting details from documents such as invoices, receipts, and sales slips
Prepare and review expense reports, ensuring compliance with established procedures and policies
Compile and analyze financial data to produce reports on cash flow, accounts payable and receivable, profit and loss, and other relevant metrics
Supervise and provide guidance to Accounting Coordinators and Accountants, ensuring efficient operations and adherence to best practices
Handle accounts payable or accounts receivable functions, including billing, data entry, budgeting, and payroll processes
Ensure proper maintenance and updating of ledgers, financial summaries, and computer-based reports
Oversee additional accounting and record-keeping tasks as assigned to support organizational needs

Requirements:

Proficiency in month-end close processes, including general ledger and journal entries
Strong skills in account reconciliation and payment processing
Experience with expense reporting and daily cash receipt management
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel for financial analysis and reporting
Familiarity with Workday Financial Management or similar accounting systems
Ability to analyze and interpret financial data to support strategic decision-making
Excellent organizational and time management skills to handle multiple priorities effectively
