Job Description:

We are looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to join our team in Charleston, South Carolina. In this role, you will play a key part in managing financial transactions, ensuring accuracy in reporting, and maintaining compliance with accounting standards. This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented individual to contribute to the success of a dynamic organization.

Job Responsibility:

Perform account reconciliations, including bank and balance sheet reconciliations, to ensure accuracy and completeness
Prepare and post journal entries to maintain the integrity of the general ledger
Oversee the month-end close process, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting
Analyze financial data to identify discrepancies and recommend corrective actions
Collaborate with internal teams to support audits and ensure compliance with accounting policies
Utilize accounting software such as NetSuite, Oracle, or SAP to manage financial operations efficiently
Generate detailed financial reports and provide insights to support strategic decision-making
Maintain accurate records and documentation in accordance with regulatory requirements
Monitor and improve accounting processes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness
Assist in special projects as needed to support the finance department

Requirements:

Proven experience in account reconciliation, including balance sheet and bank reconciliations
Proficiency in general ledger functions and journal entry preparation
Strong knowledge of month-end close processes and financial reporting
Hands-on experience with accounting software such as NetSuite, Oracle, or SAP
Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, including the ability to analyze complex data sets
Thorough understanding of accounting principles and compliance standards
Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred
