We are looking for a skilled and detail-focused Senior Accountant to join our team in Los Angeles, California. In this pivotal role, you will manage essential accounting operations, including overseeing the general ledger, performing reconciliations, and ensuring the accuracy of financial reports. The ideal candidate will bring extensive experience in accounting practices, a solid understanding of financial regulations, and a proactive approach to improving processes and maintaining compliance.

Job Responsibility:

Oversee the general ledger to ensure accurate and timely recording of financial transactions
Perform detailed reconciliations for balance sheet and income statement accounts
Lead month-end and year-end close processes, including preparing journal entries and analyzing variances
Ensure the accuracy of monthly, quarterly, and annual balance sheet reconciliations
Prepare and review financial statements and management reports to support decision-making
Coordinate with external auditors by compiling required documentation and addressing inquiries
Develop and enforce internal controls and accounting policies to maintain compliance
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement process improvements
Utilize accounting software to streamline operations and enhance reporting efficiency

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred
At least 7-10 years of progressive accounting experience, including general ledger management
Proficiency in advanced Excel functions and major accounting software such as Microsoft Dynamics or NetSuite
Proven expertise in month-end close processes, financial reporting, and complex reconciliations
Strong understanding of accounting regulations and compliance standards
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with attention to detail
Effective problem-solving abilities and organizational skills
