We are looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to join our team on a contract basis in Menlo Park, California. This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to both day-to-day accounting operations and project-specific initiatives. Ideal candidates will bring strong expertise in general ledger management and a commitment to ensuring accuracy in financial processes.

Job Responsibility:

Assist the General Ledger (GL) team with consolidations, posting journal entries, and account reconciliations
Manage a subset of accounts within the company’s extensive portfolio, ensuring accuracy and adherence to financial standards
Perform data validation and support process improvement initiatives related to Oracle Fusion
Collaborate with team members to streamline accounting workflows and enhance efficiency
Ensure compliance with accounting policies and procedures during year-end close processes
Conduct bank reconciliations and provide support for accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) functions
Prepare accurate financial reports and documentation as needed
Participate in cross-functional meetings to address project-specific accounting requirements
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of accounting software and tools, including Oracle Fusion
Support the onboarding process for new systems or procedural updates as required

Requirements:

Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience with a focus on general ledger operations
Proficiency in Oracle Fusion and familiarity with HCM SaaS platforms
Strong knowledge of accounts payable (AP), accounts receivable (AR), and journal entry processes
Proven ability to perform bank reconciliations with high accuracy
Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail in managing complex financial data
Ability to adapt to hybrid or remote work environments and collaborate effectively with team members
Previous experience handling year-end close processes is highly desirable
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required
