Job Responsibility:
Leading portions of the monthly close process, including preparing and reviewing journal entries
Performing and reviewing detailed balance sheet reconciliations
Analyzing P& L and balance sheet activity to ensure accuracy and identify trends
Investigating discrepancies and proposing solutions
Supporting internal and external audit requirements
Maintaining the general ledger and ensuring data integrity
Recommending process improvements and cost‑saving opportunities
Preparing variance analyses and account reconciliations
Documenting and monitoring internal controls
Collaborating on cross‑functional accounting projects
Mentoring junior team members and contributing to a culture of learning
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (required)
3+ years of experience in general ledger accounting (public, industry, or a blend)
Strong background in account reconciliations and bank reconciliations
Experience with accounting systems and general ledger software
Advanced Excel skills
Professional communication skills and comfort working with auditors
Strong analytical mindset with the ability to interpret financial data
Nice to have:
Power Query or Power Pivot
Familiarity with payroll and lease accounting
Experience in healthcare or multi‑location environments
CPA or CPA‑eligible
Software experience: NetSuite
