Job Description:

This is a hands-on role within a small company environment, ideal for someone who is comfortable managing full-cycle general accounting functions and taking ownership of the month-end close process. The Senior Accountant will support daily accounting operations, ensure financial accuracy, and help maintain strong internal controls.

Job Responsibility:

Manage full-cycle general accounting functions
Lead and execute the month-end close process
Prepare journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliations
Maintain accurate financial records in QuickBooks
Perform bank and balance sheet reconciliations
Prepare monthly financial statements and internal reports
Assist with budgeting and forecasting
Support audit and tax preparation processes as needed
Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal policies
Identify and implement process improvements where appropriate

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
5+ years of accounting experience
Strong proficiency in QuickBooks (required)
Experience working in a small company environment
Background in the professional services industry preferred
Demonstrated experience managing month-end close independently
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
Ability to work independently in a contract capacity
