We are looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to join our team on a contract basis. In this role, you will play a crucial part in managing financial reconciliations and supporting various accounting projects. This position offers flexibility with remote work options and is based in Charleston, South Carolina.
Job Responsibility:
Perform comprehensive account reconciliations to ensure accuracy and compliance
Manage month-end closing processes, including preparing and reviewing journal entries
Maintain and update the general ledger with accurate financial data
Conduct bank reconciliations to verify account balances and resolve discrepancies
Support ad hoc accounting projects and provide expertise in resolving complex financial issues
Utilize Workday software to streamline accounting processes and reporting
Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure alignment with industry-specific accounting standards
Analyze financial statements and provide insights to improve operational efficiency
Assist in improving internal accounting workflows and procedures
Requirements:
Proven experience in month-end close processes and general ledger management
Expertise in preparing and reviewing journal entries
Strong skills in performing account and bank reconciliations
Proficiency with Workday software for accounting and reporting purposes
Familiarity with accounting practices within the healthcare industry
Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and compliance
