Job Description:

We are looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to join our team on a contract basis. This remote position will play a key role in the financial operations, focusing on precision and efficiency in accounting processes. The ideal candidate will bring extensive experience in month-end close activities, general ledger management, and financial reconciliations.

Job Responsibility:

Oversee and contribute to the successful completion of month-end close activities, ensuring accuracy and adherence to deadlines
Prepare and record journal entries with thorough supporting documentation
Perform detailed balance sheet account reconciliations and address any discrepancies promptly
Analyze and interpret general ledger variances, providing clear and actionable reports to management
Ensure compliance with organizational policies, accounting standards, and internal controls
Facilitate audit processes by preparing required documentation and responding to audit inquiries
Drive improvements in accounting processes, including standardization and automation efforts
Engage in special projects and deliver ad hoc financial analyses as requested
Collaborate with various departments to address complex accounting issues and streamline financial workflows

Requirements:

Minimum of 7 years of accounting experience with a focus on detail
Proficiency in month-end close processes and general ledger management
Strong ability to prepare journal entries and account reconciliations with accuracy
Experience with bank reconciliations and variance analysis
Advanced knowledge of Oracle or similar ERP systems
Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills
Solid understanding of accounting principles and compliance standards
Effective communication skills for collaboration across teams
