We are looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to join our team in Watertown, Massachusetts. This is a long-term contract position offering a hybrid work schedule, combining on-site and remote work. In this role, you will take ownership of day-to-day accounting operations for designated manufacturing sites, ensuring accuracy and compliance across all financial processes.
Job Responsibility:
Oversee month-end close procedures, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting
Prepare and review journal entries to maintain the integrity of the general ledger
Conduct comprehensive account reconciliations to ensure accuracy and resolve discrepancies
Manage bank reconciliations and monitor cash flow activities
Collaborate with the Accounting Director to ensure compliance with company policies and industry standards
Support financial audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations
Analyze financial data to identify trends and recommend improvements
Coordinate with manufacturing sites to ensure seamless integration of financial operations
Maintain and update accounting systems to reflect current data and processes
Requirements:
Proven experience in full-cycle accounting, including month-end close and general ledger management
Strong proficiency in preparing journal entries and conducting account reconciliations
Familiarity with bank reconciliation processes and cash flow monitoring
Experience in distribution and manufacturing industries is preferred
Ability to work effectively in a hybrid work environment, including on-site and remote collaboration
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Strong communication and organizational abilities to manage multiple priorities
Nice to have:
Knowledge of LN software is a plus, but not required
