Job Description:

We’re seeking a detail-oriented Senior Accountant to support financial operations for a growing entertainment company. This role will manage close processes, financial reporting, and compliance while partnering cross-functionally across the business.

Job Responsibility:

Lead month-end and quarter-end close, including journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations
Prepare monthly financial statements and management reports
Oversee accounts payable, vendor relationships, and cash application
Ensure revenue recognition compliance under U.S. GAAP
Improve accounting processes, controls, and documentation
Research accounting treatment for complex transactions
Support annual audits and liaise with external auditors
Partner with FP&A, production, legal, and business teams
Contribute to system enhancements and ad hoc projects

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
4–7+ years of accounting experience
Strong U.S. GAAP knowledge
Audit support experience
Advanced Excel
ERP experience required
Entertainment/media experience preferred
CPA strongly preferred
At least 3 years of experience in financial accounting and/or auditing
Background in the entertainment industry, specifically in film or television, is preferred
Experience in production accounting is a plus
Strong knowledge of U.S. accounting principles is highly valued
Bachelor’s degree or higher in Accounting or Finance
Proficiency in advanced Excel functions
familiarity with High level ERP system
Demonstrated expertise in managing month-end close processes, journal entries, and reconciliations
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

Nice to have:

Entertainment/media experience preferred
Experience in production accounting is a plus
