Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our team on a contract basis. The ideal candidate will bring strong technical accounting expertise, a proactive mindset, and the ability to step in quickly and add value in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. This role will support key accounting functions, including month-end close, financial reporting, and account reconciliations, ensuring accuracy and integrity across financial operations.

Job Responsibility

  • Lead month-end and year-end close activities, including journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations
  • Prepare and analyze financial statements in accordance with GAAP
  • Reconcile balance sheet accounts and investigate and resolve variances
  • Support general ledger maintenance and ensure accuracy of financial data
  • Assist with budgeting and forecasting processes as needed
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate financial reporting
  • Support audit processes by preparing schedules and documentation
  • Identify process improvements to streamline accounting operations and strengthen controls

Requirements

  • Strong understanding of GAAP, general ledger activity, and financial reporting
  • Prior experience in a contract or interim accounting role preferred
  • Experience with ERP systems
  • Advanced Excel skills and ability to work with large data sets
  • Exceptional attention to detail and analytical problem-solving skills
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work independently
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and meet tight deadlines
