Job Description

Our client is seeking a Senior Accountant on a contract basis to support core accounting functions, month‑end close activities, and financial reporting. This role will be onsite in the Brentwood, TN, area and is ideal for a hands‑on accounting professional who can step in quickly and operate with minimal ramp‑up.

Job Responsibility

  • Support month‑end and year‑end close processes, including preparation and review of journal entries and account reconciliations
  • Maintain and analyze balance sheet and income statement accounts to ensure accuracy and compliance
  • Assist with financial statement preparation and internal reporting
  • Support audit requests and provide documentation as needed
  • Research and resolve accounting discrepancies and variances
  • Assist with process improvements and documentation of accounting procedures
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure timely and accurate financial data

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
  • 5+ years of progressive accounting experience
  • Strong understanding of general ledger, account reconciliations, and financial reporting
  • Intermediate to advanced Excel skills
  • Ability to work onsite and manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment
  • Strong attention to detail and analytical skills

Prior experience in contract, interim, or project‑based roles preferred
