We are looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to join our team in Salt Lake City, Utah. This is a long-term contract position offering the opportunity to work on essential accounting processes and ensure financial accuracy and compliance. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting principles and a proven ability to manage complex financial tasks.

Job Responsibility:

Oversee and manage month-end close processes to ensure timely and accurate reporting
Maintain and reconcile the general ledger to ensure financial statements are precise and up-to-date
Prepare and post journal entries while ensuring compliance with company policies and accounting standards
Perform detailed account reconciliations to verify financial integrity and resolve discrepancies
Conduct bank reconciliations to ensure accurate tracking of transactions and balances
Collaborate with internal teams to streamline accounting workflows and improve efficiency
Analyze financial data and provide insights to support strategic decision-making
Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal controls
Assist with audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations
Continuously identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and systems

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
Proven experience in accounting, including month-end close and general ledger management
Strong knowledge of accounting principles, journal entries, and reconciliation processes
Proficiency in using accounting software and tools for accurate financial reporting
Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills
Effective communication and collaboration abilities to work across teams
Ability to handle multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Knowledge of regulatory standards and compliance requirements
