We are looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to join our team in Burlington, North Carolina. In this long-term contract position, you will play a critical role in managing and overseeing financial operations, ensuring accuracy and compliance with industry standards. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in accounting and familiarity with construction industry practices.
Job Responsibility:
Manage and maintain the general ledger, ensuring timely and accurate entries
Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable processes to ensure efficiency and accuracy
Assist in the preparation and execution of month-end close activities
Perform detailed account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies
Handle budgeting and forecasting to support financial planning
Conduct job costing analysis to ensure profitability and cost control
Prepare journal entries and maintain proper documentation
Execute bank reconciliations and monitor cash flow
Collaborate with team members to ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations
Requirements:
Proven experience in accounting roles, ideally within the construction industry
Proficiency in QuickBooks and NetSuite is required
Solid understanding of general ledger functions and journal entries
Expertise in account and bank reconciliations
Strong analytical skills, particularly in budgeting and cost analysis
Detail-oriented and organized with excellent problem-solving abilities
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
